As a cheap practice course, this place succeeds. We are attracted by the discounted rates online and easy access from San Diego freeways. The course conditions have improved lately; I hope they continue their efforts.

Got a groupon at a resonable rate. Wait staff and bar keep were nice. Starter was a rude old man with a bad attitude. 1st tee, beautiful,( my daughter got married here 10 yrs ago ) after you tee off up the hill, everything goes south from there. Fairways have dead clumpy grass with alot of exposed dirt patches. Greens are a mess with different kinds of grass growing, disrupting any ability to hit your putt straight. The sand traps are a joke with sandy gravel that has basically turned into concrete. Good luck trying to hit out, you might as well pick it up and place it out of the trap and take a penalty as an unplayable lie. Overall expieriencewas bad, won't come back.

Hillside lies and back and forth fairways. Very easy to keep it in play.

$55 SUNDAY RATE INCLUDED CART AND BREAKFAST; ON WEEKDAYS SENIORS PAY $30 FOR THE SAME THING. GREEN AERATION IS STAGGERED...ABOUT EVERY THIRD OR FOURTH IS FRESHLEY PUNCHED. i PREFER THE WAY CHULA VISTA DOES IT; ALTERNATING LEFT AND RIGHT SIDES.

It's harder than most people will admit.Alot of sidehill lies.some tough greens.priced right.Unfortunately, slow plaw is often the experience, never seen a marshall step up and say something. Also prefer women on snack carts not the guy they have...and that's being nice.

We played here Sunday and Monday with the earlier tee time Monday being a much better paced round. It's a straight forward course with deceptive well maintained greens. If you have your short game going here, you can score well. #17 in particular is a great, short, shot makers par 4.

Staff is friendly and efficient. If something could be done about the pace of play, this course would be perfect. The rates are the best.

This is really a neat course to play, has as many problems as you could ask for. Good greens. Snack truck a bit pricey but wife and I really like the course. We spend a couple months each winter in the San Diego area and play here 5 or 6 times durning that time.

I play with the Sat. morning men's club here. Fringe areas of the fairways are in bad shape because of the water situation. But if you keep it in the fairway your ok. Open course easily playable from adjacent fairways where I often am.

Great price. They ran a coupon for $39 for unlimited golf, and buffet breakfast, and free use of the short game area. Greens were in great shape.

I really enjoyed the elevation changes and layout at Doubletree, especially since I normally play on flat ground in Texas. The staff was friendly and efficient. Because it is a sister club to mine, I only had to pay cart fees but even so, I checked and saw they had some really good prices on the internet.
The course was in really nice shape but it was a little slow playing even though it was supposedly a light day. I wonder about the pace on a weekend. The only other negative is that a lot of the course runs near the freeway it is a bit noisy. However, I found that I soon tuned this out.
I highly recommend this course.

They constantly run special deals, especially for Mon-Thurs. $25 to $35 including cart. The course is well maintained. The hills present a nice challenge for this relatively short (6000 yd from the whites) course. The 16th hole is the most deceiving par 3 I've played.
